Backstage Ricostru AW 19: Workaholic from the Future

The RICOSTRU Autumn / Winter 2019 collection is dominated by the figure of the workaholic of the future.

“In the middle of the night, a flicker of sparkling lights is reflected in the windows of the offices. At first red, then green; then a flourish of blue followed by an explosion of violet. I am sitting here, alone, protected from the darkness. My fingers move on the keyboard and sometimes I stop to look out the window. And that's when I see me, I recognize myself, it's me. I find myself running around the city, illuminated by the glow of neon street lamps. A cold wind is blowing, the sky is beautiful. I'm happy."

As the avatar of the series "Psychedelic Workaholics", that’s how the models that step in the catwalk of RICOSTRU wear a workwear with a futuristic allure. Faux leather garments, shimmering waterproof fabrics, high-tech coatings and prints. The shimmering waterproof down jackets and the ultra light leather embody the new ideal of "workwear of the future", imagined for space travel. The fluorescent colors of some dresses reflect the delicate soul and the dreamer of all workhaolics like the colorful dress with animalier prints.

"On my chest I wear the workaholic's mark. It leads me into a world futuristic and psychedelic where the dark nights are full of light, colors and stars. It is where you are, too”.
