We loved MARIOS FALL19 collection ‘EVERYTHING IS FORBIDDEN’ that was presented with an amazing show during Milan Fashion week. The title comes from the claim of HALL-Tallinn. Currently seen as one of the top 10 clubs within the european techno scene, HALL DJ’s are exclusively performing an original live soundtrack for the MAROS catwalk.

The main symbols of MARIOS FALL19 are drawn from the archive of the brand; the iconic MARIOS ‘bat shape’ and MARIOS ‘cape dress’ have been re-interpreted and re-imagined in the form of padded coats, bomber jackets, sweat-shirts and silk dresses.
The duffle coat and raincoat; carried over from previous MARIOS’s collections are now presented in color block nylon, as well as a classic men’s jacquard. The bat shaped bomber is now realized in both shiny nylon and military twill.

As well as the signiture shapes of the brand, MARIOS introduces a cape, as well as new multi-functional pieces in raw blue, bottle green and black denim.
Knitwear holds importance within the MARIOS FALL19 collection. Hand-made jumper in light mohair hold nordic symbols revisited with lurex yarns; assymetrical cardigans, pullovers and maxi dresses are emblassoned with college symbolism. Large neck hoods are the new seasonal proposal for the accessories.

An exploration of the notion of the ‘feminine’ is expressed through the use of materials and garment styles. Fabrics such as satin, silk and wool crepes are used to create cape dresses, bat shaped blouses and men’s trousers; these garments are all characterised by raw edges.
Realised in either nude and black mesh with a colour contrast rib, the maxi t-shirt, banana shaped leggings and turtleneck are everyday basics to be worn under different outfits to help “build” and personalize any look.

The term ‘EVERYTHING IS FORBIDDEN’ is used as a jaquard on knitwear, as well as scarves. The same lettering is used throughout the collection; it is printed on sweat-shirts, leather belts and stockings.
Scarves made with ostrich feathers, lace and knitted net are accessories that can be attached to the clothes through hidden buttons.

Predominant colours throughout the collection are bottle green, burgundy, nude, and fluro yellow.
