Continuing our behind-the-scene coverage from Milan and Paris, it’s time to take a trip to Lisbon for the fashion week, better known as ModaLisboa. Photographed by Daniel Felipe, in an exclusive French Fries reportage, today, we are focusing on designer Lidija Kolovrat.

Kolovrat is a brand that seeks to be an expression of the cultural vibe of a hectic society. The brand was established in 1990 and it is rooted in the savoir faire of the tailor made clothes. With natural materials as a starting point, they explore new shapes, new methods and new possibilities that bring boldness to the clothes and a refined sense of humor.

To dress a Kolovrat garment is to be in touch with the true self, transforming it into an act of self-empowerment.

Dead Stock Fabrics at the Ricardo Andrez Sustainable Fashion Show

Opposable to previous Andrez collections, this one wasn't built on a social phenomenon,

this particular one is a rupture to what used his design playground, that was

searching through luxurious materials and making them street ready. This collection

pays attention to the public thinking to how fashion is evolving or even criticizing

itself, so the collection was put together valuing the sustainability behavior.

Andrez Studio visibly recalls raw finishings in the clothing pieces, but without ever

losing attention to details, since it relies in the Portuguese manufacturing.

At this time in an over-saturated industry like fashion we are facing a new way of

thinking and creating with “sustainability”, so to raise awareness and to make a slow

approach to the public, this collection was produced by using dead stock fabrics.
