PRONOUNCE is a brand founded I 2016 by Yushan Li and Jun Zhou and it is based between Milan and Shanghai.
Yushan graduated Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design in 2015 and immediately after started working for YEEZY.
Jun started his career at Ermenegildo Zegna before he graduated London School of Fashion and Marangoni Institute.
Yushan and Jun share the same esthetics, concentrating on the development of inherited crafts that are reflected in the modern
fashion, mixing East with West. For S/S20 Pronounce looks to China’s terracotta warriors, with Mongolian knitted techniques,
eco-prints and Mao suits throughout.
Inspired by a number of male and female stereotypes, the two designers love to push the boundaries between genders.
PRONOUNCE was a candidate for the Woolmark Prize International in 2017, finalists of GQ presents in 2017 and the winner of
“The Latest Fashion Buzz” for Pitti Uomo 2019. Both founders are are on the Forbes list “30 UNDER 30” 2017 and 2018.
