Let me love you like a woman
“Let me love you like a woman
Let me hold you like a baby
Let me shine like a diamond
Let me be who I'm meant to be”
This is the intro of a melancholic and poetic song by Lana del Rey, as well as the title of this editorial shot by Daniela Salerno Ruiz, styled by Monica Ucha, with a layout by Beatrice Panero. The pictures, with a grunge and slightly retro flavor, are a mix of nostalgia and melancholy. Models Carlotta Brass, Mariona Borrell and Sonia H. play the roles of three strong, elegant women with a strong personality. With leather pants (by Vintage La Comune), 80s belts (by Dsquared2), Texan boots in shocking colors as green (by Vintage El Local de Charlotte) and checkered dresses (by Luis Pachecho), the girls change outfits, and by doing this, they change themselves too. From melancholic looks, to eyes that seem to peer into you (thanks to the skilful make-up by Mechi Velasques), from playful positions to moments of reflection: these three models are strong and independent women, and they represent what a real woman should be. They seem to shout: "Let us free to express ourselves!".
