In this editorial shot by Giulia Iaddaga, directed and styled by Francesca Rongioletti, model Michael Pineda is a gizmo. We only know the boy's name, but the skilful play of lights and shadows allow us to fathom his soul, to imagine what he is thinking about and what his deep looks, his cheerful smiles are due to. In a close-up on his smile, this seems to fade as one tries to bring it into focus. Michael lets the camera deepen his body, capture his hands, his smile, details of his jewels, because he is aware that no one will really be able to snatch his secrets. He slyly smiles when portrayed in full, for then being submerged by a strong blue light that makes us understand that, after all, we will never know anything about him
