Sweet Caroline
"Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would"
Neil Diamond sings in his "Sweet Caroline". In this editorial, shot by Misa Kusakabe, styled by Takayuki Yatagai, with a layout by Beatrice Panero, the protagonist and model is Nama, a girl with a magnetic gaze enhanced by make-up by Mari Kobayashi. In this pictures, the setting makes the model looking like Queen Aoleon (portrayed by American actress Madge Sinclair) of the reign of Zamunda in the movie "Coming to America".
The clothes are well structured, particular. In the first two photos, Nama rests on a red background, which contrasts with the pink coat by Natsukisasazawa and the striped shirt by Haversack. The scenery changes color and becomes sunny yellow, reminiscing of the warmth of exotic and distant countries, represented by the colorful turban worn by Nama. From yellow to blue, which contrasts with the masculine pink coat by John Lawrence Sullivan and the lilac Gucci blouse. The hairstyle is by hairstylist Keita Higashi.
Dress and pants by Sui and shoes by Fork & Spoon dress Nama once again, in a blaze of white, with a hat covering her face. Nama plays, dances and has fun in a scenario that changes color, returns to red, and then explodes into a multiplicity of colors. Nama is now sitting like a queen and she stares into the room, she conquers and she fascinates.
