Feast on Gladiatorism
“At my signal, unleash hell” said Maximo, the most famous gladiator in the cinematography of the entire world. He lived his slavery poignantly and severely.
Feast on Gladiatorism is the brave editorial shot by Stefano Facca, styled by Claudia Canella with the assistance of Michele Tumbarello.
This does not aim to emphasize the life of a gladiator who fights for survival with violence, but highlights how women, with a lot of strength and courage to spare, fight everyday for their own armation, with intelligence, heroism and determination, living their best life like warriors, or better gladiators, without fears of nothing or nobody.
The fair sex is no longer just lace and pink shoes, but a symbol of aware, independent, free and fighting people. The role of willful and elusive women is played by the models Thamires Suas and Silvia Plochocka, who embody the antithetical figure of the damsel in distress and break the stereotypical archetype that sees the warrior woman resemble a man.
Tailored jackets and explosions of dierent fabrics and patterns combine in a bold, energetic and decisive mix and match, such as to reinterpret femininity. The arena of these women is a philosophical challenge, a search for a meaning, a breaking the mold, a joy and celebration in a game of aesthetic references to the gladiators of ancient Rome.
The make-up, created by Celeste La Sala, goes well with every outfit, oering a perfect balance between femininity and power, strength and delicacy.
