Life’s Now is a film written and directed by Francesca Canepa. She is a Peruvian filmmaker who recently was Oscar Candidate for the Academy Awards 2021 with her second film El Silencio del Río.

Life's Now is a manifesto about life and what it means to be alive. Every single scene, with the voice of Hannah Harper and with the song Fool by Ryan Taubert in the background, evokes a feeling of freedom connected with the oppression of not knowing: not knowing who we are, what we will be and if we will be different or better than today.

The film releases the effervescence of the transition from youth to adulthood: the changes, the fears, the excesses of the common human being.

The aesthetic, curated by the art director Ysrael con Ygriega and by the colorist Nadia Khairat, borders on naturalism. Also the styling combines with the background, thanks to the job of Mapi Boix, who selected every single piece to match perfectly with the story.

This is an initiatory sensory journey to self-discovery and still keep walking, with the photography of Ellias Llanos, the performances of Marina Esteve and the model Claudia Gago who make up this film, turning it into a magnetic experience.
