Our May Digital Cover has “women” as its protagonist, celebrating their strength, courage, eclecticism through the historical figure of Joan of Arc, the first true "game changer" heroine of antiquity capable of inspiring our contemporaneity by bringing to light with five paintings the 5 salient moments of his life: the dream, the conversion, the battle, the condemnation, the sanctification. Each painting also contains a phrase from a famous song and an animal that serves as a reference for that particular moment, drawing on religious and mythological symbols.
On the cover the very young creative director Niccolò Lapo Latini pours all his inspiration and enthusiasm that reflect his 23 years forgetting the rules of our world, rewriting them and thus reminding all the people in the sector that fashion is basically just a point of view and that it is never too early to start introducing new patterns and visions.
To highlight the iconic shots of Emanuele Ferrari, who comes out of his historical mood and his comfort zone, embarking on a fantasy adventure under the direction of Niccolò Lapo Latini that brings the project decidedly on a different level of complexity. A courageous choice that enhances his photography even more.
Protagonist and interpreter of Joan of Arc, Juli, of the Milanese agency The Wolves Model Management. One of the reference models from the Ferrari photographic archive fits perfectly into the character, embodying the heroine with determination and passion. Beauty enhanced by make-up and hair styling - with the introduction of stage wigs - by Elena Gentile.
Backgrounds by Rebecca Coltorti Mixed Media Artist that capture attention and captivate. Captivating, sometimes rough and very suggestive; they lead the viewer by the hand into another reality.
To underline the picture of the sentence where the photograph itself seems to catch fire with the protagonist and the cover picture for the style and refinement that enhances the warrior woman in a dark - fantasy atmosphere. The reference to the saga "The Lord Of The Rings" in the last painting is curious where in the background we find the famous mountain range of Amon Din and its fire signals.
The scenography and the meticulous construction not only of the backgrounds but also of the character's looks clearly replace the usual styling by placing the film set design at the center of attention - a clear and bold departure from classic fashion production. Congratulations to the set designer Luz Del Carmen Jarquin and her assistant Bruno Veizaj and for the costumes and accessories to the costume designer Barbara De Marco.
