Sirens
Hear the siren
hear the circus all go found
I hear the sirens more and more in this here town
Let me catch my breath to breathe then reach across the bend
Just to know we’re safe, I am a grateful man...
...Knowing that, nothing lasts forever
I didn’t care before you were here
A distant laughter, with the ever after
But all things change, let this remain
Hear the sirens
covering distance in the night
In this way Pearl Jam band praise the urgency of reality in their song Sirens, creating a mutual and constant correspondence between music and words that in this editorial translates into the visual. The protagonist, the model Moritz Emmenlauer, embodies an old style homme fatale, confident with his body and his appeal. He does not flaunt his magnetism, but he has a captivating and timidly seductive attitude, in dandy mises perfectly curated by the stylist Stephane Verdino. In a "simply" romantic context, it is a mystery whether he su ers from love or he is happy with a defeat of it.
In a continuous play of lights and shadows, made winsome by the black and white, the photographer Helen Milova is careful to give visibility to parts of the body, fabrics and locations that make us better perceive the right vibes, while remaining focused on the protagonist.
