Polycultural Knowledge
We live in an era where polyculturalism is inevitable and a predominant feature of modernity. We must have polycultural knowledge for better and healthier integration. We are all cut from the same cloth, but are inherently different; whereby it is the culture, language, our identity, beliefs, values, traditions, and subjective experiences that are always interplaying, interacting, and influencing each other.
Vibrancy and energy is radiated through Lulia Mora and Stephie Braun’s model/photographer interaction, retouched by Noir Retouch. Vivid and diverse colours are painted across the editorial, portrayed through the efforts of Kassandra Schneider and Valerie Specht that present looks ranging from corsets, vintage midi skirts, to cycling shorts. Tamara Kraner seems to almost embody the concept of diversity through make-up and hair, offering some natural as well as rich visions.
Ultimately, our interactions with different cultures is what makes us creatures of adaptability where we have the space to be similar and simultaneously diverse, which is certainly personified in this editorial - owing to Milkcitystudio providing a space for the project to be realised.
