Fake Plastic Trees

With Radiohead’s Fake Plastic Trees playing in the background, we welcome you to the latest French Fries editorial. Photographer & art director Alexander Kazakov, alongside videographer Lisa, and light assistant Danya Volkov, have set the tone to this dystopian hoax in impeccable manner. On your trip to Fake Land you’ll come across scenery of immense landscapes filled with plastic, wild fires that burn further than you’d ever expect, and constant breed extinction. Be that as it may, you have nothing to worry about, for there is nothing a proper filter can’t fix, even the most disturbing of images. Displayed here are models Alice, Hatter, and March Hare as they neglect their act of vandalism, and instead are tucked away in their tiny little bubble. Stylist Valya Laurent, makeup artist Tatiyannushka, and hair stylist YAGA, set forth this heightened fake aesthetic that strongly resembles our reality.
