Panic Civilization

The year is 2021 and humanity has just recently emerged from a whole year of isolation. Yet as masses hurriedly gather at any opportunity they encounter, it feels like divisions are highlighted all around us now more than ever. As we continue to survive a pandemic, while abiding by any restrictions necessary, isolation now feels like second nature. Populations are shifting, whether forcefully or voluntarily, and the main focus is the differences. So, how do we coexist in a world where it all seems so temporary? The answer to this question is that along with all these boundaries comes a great sense of acceptance, understanding, and empathy. Photographed and styled by Carl van der Linde, as well as stylist Irina Kornia, and with the help of make-up artist Alesya Stoyan, the latest French Fries editorial gives us a minuscule sense of our new normal. Models Anna Pavlova, Sabina Pavliuk, Oleksandra Snizhko, and Camilla Shuldiakova aid in portraying that differences should only be highlighted to emphasize uniqueness.
