Office Cavalier
An Office Cavalier is one of many responsibilities, lovers and trysts. Perhaps this involves a morning contract over Negronis, or a brisk afternoon affair before a business randez-vous, whilst effortlessly maintaining a striking glow. This is what it means to be modern Cavalier- only this time it has Merlot Red lipstick written all over it, conceptualised by Taisha Lima. Devoid of care but full intent, model Mara Novaes displays a nonchalant and carefree working woman with no instruction but her own.
In a traditionally male domineering world, where a customary Cavalier who is notorious for his promiscuity was more or less celebrated, a women owning her own body and living as she pleased was often classed as a fallen woman or a femme fatale. This editorial aims to subvert these traditional social mores and impose a more vocal and alluring depiction of empowerment, visually portrayed by Alessandro Gogny and creative direction conducted by Cayetano García.
To divert our attention on styling, Sharon Cadillo conducts an exclusive black-on-black show. We see flare, we see sensual mesh and metaphors of office attire. We see a woman ready for a successful conference or dashing evening at The Ritz, portrayed through the Roaring Twenties coiffure styled by Karina Sian.
