Products and the worlds they build

The more you have, the more you want. This seems to be the golden ideal we’re living by today. Consumerism is massively dictated by double lives lived on social media. Every purchase made serves as yet another prop to one of many posts aiming to sell a certain lifestyle, and get you a certain number of followers. When you stop to think how much you actually need, you can’t help but laugh at the excess of it all. We’ve been feeding a beast that’s obsessed with surplus, until we finally created a monster. These past years have served as a vivid example that the materialistic aspects of our lives are purely extras, and not merely as essential as we’d like to believe. Photographer & stylist Stephane Verdino, with the help of model Alejandro Albaladejo Diaz, portrays these questions that in return evoke the ideal of “less is more”.
